Who do you turn to in times of crisis?

One in three children are growing up without a mentor.

With the intensified stress, isolation and uncertainty created by the 2020 pandemic and social unrest, children need the positive connection of Mentors more than ever! Many of the children and youth we work with are predominantly from single parent homes, or are living with grandparents or foster parents. Increasingly, our youth have parents who are in jail or have substance abuse issues. With these challenges and unique vulnerability, there is an upsurge in children who critically rely on our programs.

Without access to social, emotional mentoring services, vulnerable youth are at risk for increased depression, anxiety and decreased self-confidence. Mentoring is a critical component in young people’s lives, helping them make the decisions and connections that lead to opportunity.
